It’s widely accepted that factors in our environment can cause health problems: we can catch diseases from the air that we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat and anything that we care to touch.

Fresh air, clean drinking water and unadulterated food is a must for our health and, in most civilised countries it’s a given.  In other words, a healthy environment is good for us.

Etheric bodySo, if this works on the physical level then it should also be so on the energetic level.  Our physical bodies have an energy twin: the etheric body.  If something happens to it the effect can manifest in the physical body.  Likewise, if our physical body is unhealthy it shows in our etheric body.

Therefore taking care of our energetic environment is as important as ensuring our physical environment is conducive to good health.

Humans are closely linked to the earth.  Our vibrations are similar to the natural vibrations of the earth.  Being ‘in tune’ with the earth keeps our energy bodies, and therefore our physical bodies, in tune, ie. healthy.

However, if that natural vibration is distorted regularly or for a long period of time, so our energetic body will react and our physical cells resulting in illness.

And what distorts that natural vibration?  It can be from the earth herself: fault lines, underground water, caverns and energy lines all have an effect.  This is known as Geopathic Stress.  There are also man-made causes (Technopathic Stress or Electrosmog) such as overhead power lines, mobile phone masts and microwave ovens.  And finally our own spiritual world can contribute to our dis-harmony: dis-incarnate souls, entities, demons or guardians (Geopsychic Stress).

All of these have an effect on our energetic environment.  All of these can have an effect on our physical health.  You may not be able to see it but you still need to protect yourself against it.  So, if you have your physical house in order it’s time to start looking at your energetic one.  For more information on the causes, effects and what can be done go to my website.

For many people complementary therapy is no longer the odd, weird or quack stuff that you try if your doctor can’t help you.  Certain therapies, although lacking in the scientific research in comparison to allopathic medicine, are even embraced by the medical establishment.

The main difference between allopathic medicine and complementary therapy (once called alternative) is that the latter treats the person holistically, understanding that every part of our body is intimately connected to the rest and that our minds, emotions and experiences have an effect on our physical health.

Although I no longer practise, I am a qualified aromatherapist and I also combined Rei-Ki in my treatments.  I got the whole holistic thing and my clients did too.  However, for me, there was still, at times, something missing: my clients weren’t always getting the results they expected.  There was still an unknown factor that wasn’t being accounted for but affected them nonetheless.

Then I studied Feng Shui.  Feng Shui derives from a belief system known as the Tao.  Chinese medicine and macrobiotics come from the same source and work on similar principles to Feng Shui.

Although the use of Feng Shui can have health benefits it occurred to me that I had only peeled back another layer of the holistic onion.

Feng Shui helps us accept that we interact with our environment both physically and on an energetic level and this allows us to expand our view of what being holistic is all about: not only do we treat our body as a whole but we can treat our body and how it lives in our environment as a whole.

So, let’s peel back another layer and examine how we can be detrimentally affected not just by location and orientation (as in classic Feng Shui) but how we can be detrimentally affected by the things we place in our environment.  Technopathic stress, or Electrosmog, is a term used to describe the negative effects we encounter from electrical equipment both outside our homes (overhead cables, phone masts etc.) and inside (microwaves, mobile phones etc.).  Energetically our bodies clash with all this equipment that vibrates at a different rate to us.  This clash puts added pressure on our immune system to perform and on our cells to function normally.

Then we have another layer.  Geopathic stress is naturally occurring disruptions to the earth’s vibrations: underground water, energy lines, fault lines etc. disrupt the earth’s natural vibration and clash with our own vibrations.  The effects on our health are similar to exposure to Electrosmog.  (You can find out more about Geopathic and Technopathic stress from my web site.)

Are there other layers?  Probably.  But we can’t discover them until we get through the ones we know about already.  So, if you really want to address your health issues, or if you’re a therapist wanting to offer an even more holistic service to your clients, then maybe you should widen your view of how you interact with this world and what being holistic truly means.  Do you really stop at your skin?

Could what's under your home be the cause of your health problems?

Could what's under your home be the cause of your health problems?

Do you suffer from chronic health problems?

Do you pick up every little bug going around?

Do you suffer from problems such as fatigue, headaches or depression?

Do you wake up tired?

Do you feel better when you’re away from home?

What difference would it make to your life if you felt healthy, happy and creative?

Have you tried everything you know to make improvements?

Maybe you should look elsewhere.  Maybe you should look down.

The term ‘Geopathic  Stress’ is used to describe areas of the land where the earth’s electromagnetic field is disrupted and so vibrates at a different frequency.

You might ask what that has to do with your employees.  Well, quite a lot if you employ humans!

Throughout our evolution we humans have learnt to live in harmony with the earth and our electrical bodies resonate.  So, if that frequency is disrupted through such things as underground water, fault lines or caverns it has an effect on us if we are stood or sat over it for any length of time.  The effect can be individual and also quite subtle.

In the early twentieth century one of the first serious studies on geopathic stress was carried out by German scientist Gustav Freiherr Von Pohl.  The study involved the houses of 58 people who had died from cancer and concluded that all had been sleeping over an area of geopathic stress.  We sleep for an average of 7 to 8 hours a day.  The same amount of time that we may be sat at a desk in an office.  Therefore it’s reasonable to assume that working in an area of geopathic stress can be just as detrimental to our health as sleeping in an area of geopathic stress.

Since then many studies have been carried out and, in certain countries, buildings are not allowed to be erected unless the area has been dowsed for geopathic stress.  Unfortunately this doesn’t happen in the UK.

So why does geopathic stress affect us in this way?  Because our bodies work optimally when we resonate with the earth’s natural vibrations, any distortion will distort the way our bodies work.  And when you think about it, any ‘dis-ease’ is really a manifestation that our bodies are not working properly.

These changes can affect how our brain works and communicates with our nervous system, our thought processes and they can overload our immune system.  However, everybody exposed to geopathic stress will react differently and there are many other factors to consider such as natural constitution and lifestyle.

What geopathic stress tends to do is tip the balance or stack the odds against health.  It also has a cumulative effect so the more time spent in a geopathically stressed area and the frequency increases, the more the balance is tipped towards ill health.

Cancer has been mentioned but there are other ways it can affect such as: poor sleep; headaches; depression and mood swings; fertility problems and miscarriages and behavioural problems.  So, it’s well worth checking your office or work location for geopathic stress because there are solutions available.

I’ll ask you again.  What difference would it make to your life if everyone who worked for you was healthy, happy and creative?

Maybe you should have a geopathic stress survey and find out?
