Hallowe’en is over, the pumpkin pie is eaten and my witchy besom is chained away until next year. The shops have wasted no time in getting their Christmas trees set up and wishing me a happy festive season so, inevitably, my thoughts are turning to Christmas shopping.
If you’re like me you’ll spend ages scratching your head wondering just what to buy for that special someone. So, I’ve decided to help both of us out by pulling together a gift guide based on Feng Shui principles: namely those of the Celestial Animals.
Depending on our birth year we each have an animal energy in us that conditions our world and how we perceive others. I happen to be a Rabbit. Now, you may have views on rabbits already but I’m not just a fluffy bunny you know!

As I write this there are signs of Christmas in the shops. Mince pies have been on sale for a while and tinsel and gift wrap are now appearing.
The middle of December is a wonderful time of year with the Christian festival of Christmas and the Pagan festival of Yule which sees the shortest day: the Sun God is reborn and the earth will begin to stir once more.
It’s traditionally a time of giving gifts to our loved ones and I always try to find something that is a little different and special. Of course, I had a hard time limiting the amount of specials available to you during the months of November and December.
